99×9.CPH>STL
, 2012. 2-channel, looping animation with audio. (2 projectors and DVD players, speakers, various cables).

Installation view at Anomalous Perspectives: The 2011 Critical Mass Creative Stimulus Award Exhibition at The Sheldon: Nancy Spirtas Kranzberg Gallery, St. Louis, MO.

99×9.CPH>STL is a site-specific multi-channel video installation composed using nine hand drawn animations from the recently completed series 99×9. Each animation began with the same vocabulary of materials – a 10x10cm sketchbook that contains one-hundred pages and a set of nine markers that represent the current commercial spectrum of colors, plus black – that transforms over each set of ninety-nine drawings. For this exhibition, all nine individual animations have been edited together in response to the architecture of the gallery to create a multi-channel composition. Additionally, this installation is presented with audio from a field recording taken in a public plaza (during a snowboarding demo) in Copenhagen where these looping animations were last exhibited. Taken as a whole, 99×9.CPH>STL transforms the empty gallery into an immersive experience where the space gives form to the drawings over time.
